MTV Campus Invasion Tour ft. 30STM

MTVu lance une nouvelle édition de son festival Campus Invasion, en 2010.
MTVu est une radio qui tourne principalement dans les universités et sur les campus américains si j'ai bien compris le peu de recherches que j'ai fait, et chaque année ils organisent un festival qui fait le tour d'un certain nombre d'universités et où il y a quelques groupes qui jouent.

Cette année la tête d'affiche est 30 seconds to mars avec comme invités Neon Trees et New Politics selon les dates.

Toutes les dates annoncées jusque là dans des universités sont dans ce contexte là.

9/29 – Texas A&M (Kingsville Campus), Kingsville, TX
10/4 – Murray State University – Murray, KY
10/15 – University of South Florida – Tampa, FL

Il est dit que MtvU/MTV est le sponsor exlusif de la tournée US "Into the wild" à venir (qui commence le 30 aout et qui finit le 16 octobre).
Ils ont du annuler un certain nombre de dates pour pouvoir caler celles ci, mais si c'est leur sponsor, ceci expliquerait cela... Au final c'est le groupe qui passe pour pas très sérieux à annuler autant de concert (on est au moins à 5 aux US depuis le début de l'année...) mais je suis pas sure qu'ils soient maitres de tout ça...

According to their website, 30 Seconds to Mars have reinstated their canceled Tampa concert date on Oct. 15, and will perform that night at USF in Tampa. Not only that, but it's a free show -- and MTV is reportedly going to film the whole thing.

Next, 30 Seconds to Mars. This is part of the annual mtvU Campus Invasion Tour. USF spokeswoman Lara Wade said the event will also take place at The Meadows, and New Politics and Neon Trees will maintain their opening slots. The concert is at 7 p.m., but a "sponsorship village" will open up at 5 p.m. Again, it's free, and open to the public.

Details for the 30 Seconds to Mars gig are scant online, but we've told you pretty much all you need to know for now.

With the MTV-U Campus Invasion Tour just around the corner, patiently awaiting students were ready for the arrival of Jared Leto and 30 Seconds to Mars.

However, SGA Coordinator Jeanie Morgan announced Thursday afternoon that the concert and MTV Village set for Monday at the CFSB Center was canceled.

“When we were contacted about the event, we thought it was a wonderful opportunity for students,” Morgan said. “We’re very disappointed but we will continue to bring outstanding events to Murray.”

Morgan said the University was notified of the cancelation via an e-mail which read, “Due to unforeseeable circumstances, 30 Seconds to Mars will not be performing at Murray State. We’re sorry for the disappointment.”

Morgan said the entire event featuring musical performances by 30 Seconds to Mars, Neon Trees and New Politics, as well as free items, interactive games, beauty makeovers and casting calls for two MTV shows will not be taking place.
